LOCATION:
The City of Pinole is located in the San
Francisco Bay Area, on the shores of San Pablo Bay in West Contra
Costa County. Interstate-80, which traverses the City, connects the
San Francisco/Oakland metropolitan area with Sacramento and points
East.
The City of Pinole has a land area of more than four square
miles; much of the land has gently rolling hills with steeper hills
paralleling on the north and south. Elevation in the City ranges
from sea level to 500 feet above sea level. The climate is mild,
with no extremes of temperature, rainfall or humidity. Lowest and
highest temperatures are in the narrow range of an average low of
40°F in the winter to an average 85°F in the summer. DESCRIPTION:
A diverse city of 20,000, Pinole has a small town feel
but offers big city services. Having local government that understands the importance
of encouraging economic vitality, and offering quality city
services such a police and fire, are just a few reasons
businesses thrive here. Kaiser Permanente’s 61,000 square foot medical office
building is now open, creating over 250 new jobs in the
community. Pinole is emerging into a medical services
cluster with other new medical providers pursuing
development in Pinole. Pinole is home to two regional shopping centers, one with
a newly completed, 20 million renovation. Activities abound all year, from the community theater,
summer concert series, family movies in the park and
year-round farmers’ market, to the extensive offering of
recreation programs for all ages through our Youth Center
and Senior Center, all of which combine to make Pinole a

between Alameda and Solano Counties.
