One of the defining characteristics of the East Bay is the breadth of its economic base. The East Bay has a diverse set of economic industries contributing to job creation, research and development, local investment and business growth. The East Bay EDA is dedicated to provide services, analysis and cross sector partnerships to enhance the overall positive growth of the East Bay economy. In order to help in this endeavor, EDA members and partners have provided a guide to help grow small businesses and guide industry development. 

Access to Capital

Our access to capital page provides links and resources to available traditional and creative avenues for startups, small businesses and medium sized companies. A variety of entities including nonprofits, commercial lenders, crowdsourcing efforts and government agencies provide financing options. 

Business Resources

Resources are available in the East Bay to help a small business and startups. Access connections to local agencies to help facilitate permitting, hiring, incubation and research and development.   

International Trade and Investment

EDA is dedicated to grow the region’s international economic focus that includes assistance for companies interested in importing and exporting products, trading with foreign nationals and working with the Port of Oakland. Our international section is dedicated to companies in need of information, planning, logistics and resources dedicated to doing business abroad.
