SUMMARY:Corridors: The Opportunity Along I-880
DESCRIPTION:What’s next for the East Bay’s I-880 corridor? \nFrom Hayward to San Leandro to East Oakland\, this industrial backbone powers manufacturing\, logistics\, and distribution across the region. But continued growth raises big questions: \n➡️ Where will the workforce come from?\n➡️ Can energy infrastructure keep up with demand?\n➡️ What investments are needed to support the next wave of industry? \nFor the first time\, the San Francisco Business Times is convening regional leaders to explore these questions as part of our Corridors of Opportunity series. \nRegister and secure your spot! More details on the speakers shaping this inaugural conversation coming soon.

SUMMARY:Livermore Valley Wine Tour
DESCRIPTION:Join East Bay EDA for an exclusive\, invite-only wine tasting experience in the Livermore Valley to kick off Livermore Valley Wine Month. Guests will ride in style in a comfortable limo bus for a cruise across beautiful Livermore Wine County\, visiting two popular wineries for a custom wine tasting and food pairing experience. Please note that this event is by invitation only and has limited space. This tour is presented in partnership with Southwest Airlines. Special thanks to the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association and the City of Livermore for participating. \nOne of California’s oldest wine regions\, the Livermore Valley played a pivotal role in shaping California’s wine industry. Spanish missionaries planted the first wine grapes in the Livermore Valley in the 1760s. In the 1840s\, California pioneers looking for outstanding vineyard sites began planting grapes in the region. Robert Livermore planted the first commercial vines in the 1840s. Pioneer winemakers C. H. Wente\, James Concannon\, and Charles Wetmore recognized the area’s wine growing potential and founded their wineries in the early 1880s. Today\, it is a thriving wine region in the San Francisco Bay Area. \n  \n  \n
