East Bay's unemployment rate was 6.6% in March, above 3.6% year-ago. 97,800 jobs lost; 41% from leisure, hospitality & food services. Arts, entertainment, and recreation dropped 9,100 jobs. Prof & business services led month-over payroll gains (+2,900).


California unemployment rate decreases to 8.3% in March. Employers gained 119,600 nonfarm payroll jobs.
