The unemployment rate in the Oakland-Hayward-Berkeley MD rose 14.2 percent in April 2020, up from a revised 4.0 percent in March, and above the year-ago estimate of 2.7 percent, according to @CA_EDD.

  2020 Spring Membership Meeting

Thursday, May 21, 2020 | 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

Join us for an online presentation of our annual Spring Membership Meeting and the unveiling of the 2020-2021 East Bay Economic Outlook Report. This year’s event, “The Building Blocks to Recovery” will feature a presentation by Dr. Chris Thornberg of Beacon Economics followed by a moderated Q&A session. We will be joined by a guest speaker from the Port of Oakland, providing an update on the latest regional impacts of COVID-19. This meeting will be held online and registration is open to the public.
