This invitation-only tour provided a visit to the Bay Area’s largest manufacturer and one of the largest manufacturing sites in California. It was an inside look at the company hub for Model S, Model 3, Model X and Model Y production. Since its inception, Tesla has grown to become the state’s largest manufacturing employer and the world’s leading electric vehicle maker. This tour was presented in partnership with the City of Fremont.

Lawrence Livermore National Lab Tour

Thank you for joining East Bay EDA for an exclusive tour of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). The tour included a visit to the National Ignition Facility (NIF), the world class facility that made headlines in 2022 for achieving fusion ignition in a laboratory setting, and a visit to the Advanced Manufacturing Lab (AML), which facilitates partnerships between LLNL, industry, and academia to address manufacturing challenges across a range of commercial and government projects.

It was an important discussion on the work they are doing to strengthen connections between the community and the University, with a particular focus on Black student success.
