Oakland, California – On October 14, 2021, the East Bay Economic Development Alliance (East Bay EDA) hosted the 9th Annual East Bay Innovation Awards, where Jacqueline Yu hosted a virtual red carpet with guests, the East Bay’s Kev Choice entertained the audience, NBC Bay Area’s Scott McGrew announced the awardees across ten different competitive categories, and talented youth of YR Media deejayed the event. It was an evening event exemplifying everything the East Bay has to offer as a region of world-class innovation.
The 2021 finalists and awardees join a network of cutting-edge companies recognized during previous East Bay Innovation Awards events. The 2021 East Bay Innovation Awards were awarded to:

The awardees of the 2021 East Bay Innovation Awards received a locally manufactured trophy from HoneyPoint3D, a “Made in the East Bay” gift basket from BayMade, a complimentary pair of airlines tickets from Southwest Airlines, and a one-year complimentary membership to East Bay EDA. The finalists received a gift basket and one-year complimentary membership to East Bay EDA.
In a year filled with business challenge and resilience, the East Bay Innovation Awards inspired by showcasing the world-class innovators of the region. East Bay EDA recently released a report and economic blueprint for recovery, East Bay Forward, and an accompanying six-part series in the San Francisco Business Times. East Bay EDA will continue move forward these goals of regional innovation and economic resilience.
The 2021 East Bay Innovation Awards was presented by Kaiser Permanente.
